Transatlantic race sets sail from Plymouth on Monday - By Plymouth Herald
A FLEET of racing boats will leave from Plymouth Sound on Monday – bound for Newport, Rhode Island.
The sailing supremos are taking part in the 14th Ostar race, a single handed transatlantic competition.
Skippers and their support teams from all over the world will descend on Plymouth for the start.
The 2,700 mile race, held every four years, attracts a wide variety of boats.
